no baking
so i promised an awesome baking post... well, that plan changed a bit.
i was supposed to bake a super cute fairytale castle cake for a little girl's birthday... but they canceled it :[
and i made some easter cupcakes that totally failed. so i'm not going to show you. sorry hehe. maybe when i have time and money to make an awesome cake i'll post it.
for now i suggest you watch these recipes from Joy of Baking to get your baking fix. or watch some Jenna Marbles if you like crazy funny chicks. (it's hilarious!)

macarons again
well, i've made up my mind. i'm never making macarons again.
this is the result of my second attempt... i'm not proud of them :[
they have half 'feet' or no feet at all, the green ones are a bit toasty and instead of nice circles they're more like smudged little blobs.
i can't believe that i probably overmixed the eggs again... it seemed to be the right texture.
this time filled them with vanilla cream cheese, but i think i like them better without filling.
conclusion: my kitchen and supplies are just not good enough to make perfect macarons. maybe some day when i have a huge kitchen, two high class ovens, a KitchenAid, a silicone macaron baking sheet and a super quality piping bag...

i'm usually not very persistent in making things a habit, but i'm trying!
even though i'm feeling ill, i would love some macarons!
here's a nice recipe i found for making pistachio macarons, yum.
be sure to check out this blog, it has some a-ma-zing recipes and the cutest (cup)cakes.
